The MAUSAMÉ method

Not just weather. The whole look.

Temperature alone cannot tell you what to wear. We combine weather, humidity, occasion, gender, age and personal style before making a recommendation.

☀️

Weather

Temperature, condition and humidity shape the comfort layer of every outfit.

🧵

Fabric

Understand why lawn, linen, khaddar or velvet suits a particular temperature range.

✦

Fashion

Choose silhouettes and details that feel current without chasing every trend.

💍

Occasion

University, office, mehndi, wedding and Eid each need a different finish.

Libas jo mausam ko samjhe.

Pakistan's weather is dramatic — 45°C summers in Multan, sticky monsoon days in Karachi and snowy winters in Quetta and Murree. A beautiful outfit only works if it's also comfortable for the day you're actually having.

MAUSAMÉ brings fabric knowledge and fashion sense together, so you always know what to pick from your wardrobe.

  • Breathable picks for heat and humidity
  • Layering logic for windy and cold days
  • Occasion-ready finishing — dupatta, shawl, khussa, jewellery
  • Colour palettes that suit each season

Style rules we live by

Little rules, big difference.

Above 70% humidity, go loose.

Sticky days call for breathable lawn, cotton and voile in relaxed cuts. Skip tight layering and synthetic linings.

Monsoon rule

Heavy embroidery loves cool evenings.

Save velvet and dense thread-work for winter weddings. In summer, choose lighter formal lawn or chiffon.

Wedding rule

One shawl changes everything.

A pashmina or light cotton shawl takes a kurta from a cool morning to a warm afternoon — and dresses it up instantly.

Questions

Frequently asked.

How does MAUSAMÉ decide what I should wear?

We place your temperature into a comfort band (hot, warm, mild, cool or cold), then adjust for humidity, weather condition, occasion, gender and the style mood you choose. The result is a complete outfit suggestion with fabric, colours, shoes and accessories.

Is the weather live?

Not yet. In this version you enter the temperature and humidity yourself (or use the sample forecast). A live weather API can be connected later.

Which fabric is best for Pakistani summers?

Lawn, cotton and voile are the most breathable choices. Linen is great for warm (not humid) days. Avoid velvet, thick polyester and heavy embroidery when it's above 33°C.

Where are my saved outfits stored?

Saved outfits are kept in your own browser using localStorage. Nothing is sent to a server, and you can remove them anytime from your dashboard.

Does it work for men and children too?

Yes — choose Male or Child in the form. Recommendations switch to kurta shalwar, waistcoats, comfort sets and suitable shoes.
